Default Code P0758, Shift Solenoid "B"

Hello. Several months back I posted about this code on my 95 Lexus LS400 and it was recommended I get the solenoids and replace them, which I did in January. Unfortunately, the "check engine" light is on now again and, once again, I have a PO758 Code. Any thoughts on what to check next.

FYI - shifting into any gear is smooth except for when the car engine is warmed up, at which point I notice a slight hesitation / slowness going from 1st to 2nd gear and now I have a flashing ECT light on the dash.

I'm a senior citizen, not a mechanic, so your advice/guidance is appreciated. TY

Aisin shift solenoids always confused me. Toyota ID's them by number; everyone else ID's them with letters. I don't know if No.1 = A, No.2 = B, etc.

The flashing ECT light is probably related to the P0758 and the lazy 1-2 shift.

Has the transmission seen regular fluid changes?

Yes, the original transmission was maintained and the replacement one is maintained but I will have the fluid checked and flushed if necessary. The transmission was replaced last June and about 6 weeks later the code PO7658 showed up. This code which is for the "B" solenoid and both "B" solenoids were replaced as were oxygen sensors.

The mechanic recommended I find a Transmission Valve Body Wiring Harness for the 1995 LS which is easier said than done. So far no luck. The shop told me the clips on the wiring harness are broken. Anybody know if the clips can be purchased for the wiring harness. I haven't been able to find either the harness or the clips.

Transtar offers several wire harnesses. I would see a local rebuilder and ask them.

https://www.transtar1.com/

When I bought a rebuild kit for a GM transmission, the seal kit and some the gaskets were from Transtar.

Look for a location near you and contact them directly. I'm not sure if they will sell to individuals or if you need to go through a distributor.
