I would be very hesitant to have anything to do with it until you have the title situation taken care of. If you start pulling parts or fixing anything and it turns out to be stolen, your going to look like an easy conviction to a police officer. And until the title is in your name, you could be opening yourself up to all kinds of problems. There isn’t anything on this car that would be worth a trip to the penitentiary. Once you get it titled, you can do anything u want and not worry about getting arrested or anything. At a minimum get a complete bill of sale with all of the sellers information and a picture of their ID. So u would at least have another suspect for the police to question if there was a problem.
