Hi, my 1991 Lexus ls400 has a high idle and is restricting me from getting my car. if anyone has any solutions or can diagnose the problem it would be greatly appreciated

there are many issues that can lead to this condition. start with checking to see if the pedal or throttle body is stuck slightly open.

how high is it? why is it restricting you for getting the car? can't throw it in gear? higher than 1.5-2k RPMs is high.
