My 17 year old son has a '97 LS400. All of a sudden, the power drivers' seat stopped working. It also no longer recognizes that the seatbelt is latched, as the seatbelt light is illuminated on the dash. I would have thought that the motor burned out or something, but if the seatbelt light is also on, I'm not sure what to think. Ideas?

 

check the connector under the seat. there should be a wiring harness that connects the seat to the car to give it power.

 

Thanks! We did pull the seat and the harness appears to be connected. I will go back and double check it.
