wouldn’t have been the starter though as it was having a hesitation while running, at least that doesn’t seem to point to starter. Had the starter replaced once at a Lexus dealership according to the Lexus website.

 

I'm sure he meant fuel pump. It's 23 years old so you're on borrow time if it's still OG.

 

swapped out the fuel pump yesterday as the symptoms seemed to point to it. Car started right up after, I’ll put some miles on it to see if any of the hesitation shows back up.

not a bad job, I could probably do it pretty quickly the second time.

 

Driven the car a thousand miles with no issues after the fuel pump was changed, now I’m going to look towards a bit larger wheel and probably a set of coil overs to drop the car just a bit. I’m not certain if I’ll go with 18s or 19s, I have looked at the interwebs some and there was a set of 19s that I think would look really nice but now it’s showing 6-8 weeks out.

Put some wheels and tires on the old car.

17YO says it needs to be lowered a bit, it’s the almost 15 YOs car, he’s not so sure.
