LS400 smooth surface plastic engine under cover(s) reflect noise vs absorbing it.

2001-2006 Toyota Celsior parts diagram depicts an engine under cover silencer pad, while the 2001 LS430 engine under cover parts diagram does not depict a silencer pad...

Was able to locate a single dingy online image of the Celsior undercover with silencer pad.

The Celsior silencer pad material appears similar to the hood liner, and is retained via plastic clips. (glue is impractical here)

Have a spare hood liner that I liberated from it's pressboard structure and, a blank, unformed sheet of wheel well liner that could also be used

Japan saves the best for themselves. Gen 1 Celcior had power recliner rear seats and air ride with TEMS. Ours are dumbed down. Perhaps that’s the epa, as with oil leak it would be a fire hazard? Certainly makes sense! Call an exporter in Japan and see if they will send you one

 

The UL version had the Power Recliner seats and TEMS air-suspension in the USA as well.

Yup, looks like that part is for JDM, Australian, and EU markets only.
