Pulling a 1UZFE-VVTi help?
(my previous episode: [url]https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-1st-and-2nd-gen-1990-2000/946665-jdm-1uzfe-vvti-swap-into-a-usa-ls400.html)
I'm trying to remove the engine from my 2000 LS400 but I'm stumped on one thing. How do I go about removing the harness connections? I understand it's best to unplug the main connectors from the chassis and not all the individual plugs from the engine. So just unhook the connectors from the fuse/relay box? How about the large accordion tube that goes into the passenger side firewall? A checklist would really help! Thanks!
I've already removed:
radiator
battery
fan
ac compressor - the refrigerant hoses are still attached
exhaust flange nuts
oil
ps fluid and tranny fluid
Next I'll be removing the trans mount and driveline.

Are you extracting the transmission along with the engine?

Yes, that's my plan. I'm doing this on flat ground so I'm guessing it'd be easier to pull them together.

Unplug the engine harness from the ECU and pull through the firewall. Pull the engine with harness intact. At the factory the engine is installed with the harness complete and attached to the engine.
