Default Blower Unit & Evaporator Remove & Replace

Anyone have experience removing the complete blower unit (not blower fan by itself)? I removed all of the fasteners shown in the factory manual and it will not come out. It is getting hung up on something that isn't obvious. I can wiggle the blower unit, but it just won't clear. My car is a 2000

I've had mine out on my '93 but I don't remember exactly how it came out. I had the whole dash off when I did mine though cuz I needed to get to the heater assembly for the heater core. I followed the manual and everything came out easy. Try not to force it too much, ya don't want to break anything else. Good luck.

If I remember correctly you have to pull it off the studs on the firewall and it'll come loose. It doesn't just drop down.

Do you recall a particular direction you had to pull? It is on there pretty good!
