Default P1126 Please help! 😭😭😭😭

So my tears started out with my Lexus giving me the check engine light and the check VSC light at the same time in the car going into limp mode.

I was able to get it to clear the code by taking the terminal connector off and resetting the battery this seems to resolve it for the first couple of miles.

I am aware that some of these weird issues can be caused by low battery issues so I bought a brand new battery from the Lexus dealer this resolved the issue for a full day this time and then the next morning on a coldstart it went back into limp mode.

I have checked the voltages on the old throttlebody sensor’s with a meter and everything looks to be within spec I did however get a throttlebody out of the junkyard and replace it with a working one anyway just in case this cleared the code for another day and then the car went back into limp mode the following Cold start that morning.

I have also replaced my positive and negative terminals with brand new terminals because the old ones were really corroded. I’m not sure what else to try if anyone has any insight please feel free to comment with any advice.

I didn't look much but I found this: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ttle-body.html
I'm sure if you use the search feature you will find a bit more on the 1126 code even though it's uncommon. Good luck.

I guess I can try cleaning the MAF. Seems like it could possibly be an electrical issue since I have replaced with a different throttle body with new sensors and still showing as failing. Battery is also giving good voltage as well.

The link dean provided is an excellent resource. Did you clean the used TB before you installed it?

Regarding P1126, other than the throttle body itself, I have experienced a partially damaged connector which was connected to the clutch. For the troubleshooting and the confirmation, this was needed to check the current and the resistance of the clutch at the ECU side.

Thankyou for providing this useful information, I will be dropping the car off at the Lexus dealer tomorrow. I'm keeping positive thoughts that they will be able to resolve this. I will let you know what they come up with in case anyone runs into this issue.

Best Regards,
