Um, I feel really bad for the other person if you ever cause an accident. What are you planning to do in such a situation?

I'm not planning to do anything for that situation b/c I don't intend to cause an accident. I don't drive like I used to. (When I was young) I was only in 1 accident, and that was when I was 15 and I was run off the road by a cop. (Too long of a story for here. ) But I see your point and yes, I have thought about the "what if" factor. But right now, unemployed, I drive 10 miles a week, tops. I go a few blocks down the street to get the paper every day, that's it. I'll have ins when I go back to work, and it will be about $150/month.

Not sure how much I pay for the LS individually, but a 2006 F150, 2006 Expedition and 2000 LS400 cost $125/month for full coverage for all...in the Galveston market with GEICO. I think the LS cost about another $25/month

I have to carry full coverage on all my cars because we have alot of out of the country "visitors" in this part of the country and 1) they can't drive, 2) they carry no insurance and 3) when one plows into you the cops tell you there is nothing they can do!

Most accidents aren't intentional. Say you take your eyes off the road for a minute, and a kid pops out in the middle of the street when you're on your way a few blocks to get your paper....and smack, you tag him/her....doesn't kill him, but he's in a two week coma, and his family has been laid off and has no health insurance, they now have the stress of thier child healing, and having to pay for all of it themselves, probably over $150K. All so you can save $60 bucks a month..... OR, you smack into some kid who saved just enough to pay for a car for college, again, you rear-end him accidentally, now this kid can't go to school cause he only had liability. Do the right thing man, walk to get your paper, and keep the car parked until you can get your stuff together.

Geez, calm down people. My first answer was meant to be comical. Some of you guys are acting like it's a federal crime b/c I haven't had ins. for a couple months. Been out of work for 17 months, without ins. for 2. With the tiny bit of money I do have right now I'd rather buy food for my granddaughter then have ins. on my car. Is that a crime? No. It's a crime what this government did to our economy. Keep your opinions about my business to yourself and just answer the OP question, "How much do you pay for insurance" I'm done.

Default How much is your 400's insurance?

I just stared my new policy with USAA. I had CAICO in Puerto Rico, which became Universal Group. It was actually a bit cheaper in Puerto Rico then it is in Atlanta. I am a big fan of decent coverage even though I own the car. Look at it as more protecting myself then the car. KBB on my 99 is still $13,800.00

This is the best I could find for the coverages and price. Progessive and GEICO were both $200 - $400 more expensive. I am 34 with no accidents or tickets.

$1,026.00 a year.

Coverage:

100,000/300,000
500 deductible
100,000 uninsured motorist
100,000 medical payments
30/90 rental car
Accident forgiveness
Death benefit $5,000
$5,000 injured bills
Towing
and a few other things I don't remember.

Just for comparison what do you guys pay in your area? Do you also insure over minimums?

I didn't get the drop I usually do this year.
Basic coverage:
50, 100 and 100

$1135 so about $108/month with the finance fees

I'm not going to disclose my age.

You know it is interesting, the agent in PR told me when I insured the car that it would never be any less for full coverage. Basically, it would always cost about a grand no matter how old the car was.

I'm not sure who you are with RA40 but Progressive was pretty competitive. California is higher in general as well.

I went through a variety of insurance co's and was unhappy for a range of reasons. AAA So. Cal has been good these past 15-16 years. Had one incident where I had to go back-forth but the body shop took care of most of the interaction. They aren't the least $ among the carriers, their service and accessibility has been
