I feel your pain. I remember paying $3500 14 years ago for a 1989 Toyota Supra. I own two cars now and I live in New York. I own a 98 LS400 and a 93 Diamante (Which I will be getting rid of shortly). I will be getting a 04 GX470. I currently pay $2400 for two cars.

Why envy someone who pays $60k for something that loses value?....Doesn't seem too bright of an idea to me. Although, given their (hopefully) high income (or investments), it is probably in perfect ratio with my income to vehicle purchasing power, just in a whole different bracket.

What about those MB AMG owners, can you imagine what kind of repairs bills they must be able to finance in the later years? My neighbor has the low end Porsche, the Boxster, and routinely drops $300 here $700 there on maintenance. That's just nuts. His comment, "You have to truly love Porsche to own one."

I just realized a month ago how young you really are. 13 right?? Actually you're half my age. But in my mid 40s I would be lucky to find something under $150 a month, if I decided to get insurance. That's with only 1 accident and no DUIs. Insurance sucks, until ya need it.

 

I'm paying $30/month for full coverage on a 92 LS400. I'm 21. No accidents, no tickets.
