Default LS400 Air conversion new idea?

Hey folks, I have sincerely scoured this site and others looking for this answer but either I'm terrible at searching or the answer just wasn't out there. IF it is, I apologize in advance. I have a 96 LS400 and one bad air shock. I want to go to coilovers and I see there are a couple "kits", Strutmaster, Sunco, Arnott, etc out there. Never been a fan of kits, at least the ones I've dealt with on other cars. Could I not just get all the suspension parts for a non air ride 96 LS400 and put them in there in lieu of the air shocks? I was thinking if I got the shocks, springs, mounts and such I could just put them in, disconnect the air compressor, and done deal. I called Bell Lexus in Scottsdale to ask them and they thought it shouldn't be an issue but couldn't say for sure since there is no guidelines offered by Lexus on converting from air to conventional suspension. Anyone do this or know someone that did, or know that the conventional parts would fit okay I'm all ears. I can't imagine the air ride and non air ride cars were built so differently that parts wouldn't fit. I would assume though that if you took conventional to air there would be a lot of work involved, but I want to go the opposite.

Thank you, and Happy Holidays!!!

A good reminder for me to merge some the past discussions into one thread.
The bottom line you can install traditional spring assemblies for the correct generation in place of the air units. Unplug the fuse to the compressor and remove compressor as well.

The Google search gives more refined links. Try these key words: air suspension conversion LS400 club lexus
