Default Restomod Sleeper edition

Hello Club Lexus new user here,

I want to restore my lexus LS400 92 into great condition and going above and adding a few mods to add some power while I'm on it. I do have some issues, the idle sensor doesn't start without accelerating, the ac and music player don't work and the key is a bit warned out, but I want to fix it up and keep it as a daily driver and maybe even mod it for higher performance and take it autocrossing.
What are some good mods for performance for this car in particular? Is it possible to LS swap it?

welcome and find the FAQ for basic issues we covered here many times over such as the air idle control valve (IACV).
ac system can be a boar depending on the problem. and radio/headunit problems could be as simple as a fuse.

as for mods, there really isn't anything performance wise for the engine itself (1UZ-FE) on this side of the world. the austrailians have played around with it but finding parts today will be difficult.
LS swap is possible but will require deep pockets.

what is the mileage of your LS?

Default Parts for power

Bring money. XAT Racing will sell you parts for it, and if you ask nicely and have money, they’ll even build you a motor. I got quoted about $8500 for a ready to run 1uz making around 500hp NA, but building a turbo setup could be less expensive. Considering you have he thicker rods, you could probably safely build 400-500hp turbo setup on mostly stock internals for a bit less. I’m not an expert, but to say there’s nothing available isn’t quite true. You just have to search and spend.
