I got a code on my 1999 ls400 for my camshaft sensors, bank 1 and 2. I am having trouble finding the location of these sensors. Does anyone have a picture on where they are located?
What is the code number?
IIRC the only cam related electronics that could throw a code are the OCV (oil control valve) which mount in the top of each (both) timing gear cover, and the cam position sensor which is under that same cover but only on the drivers side.

I got a p0340 code. I’ve looked it up I believe there are two sensors and I’m having trouble locating either of them I don’t know if anyone has an engine picture it’ll be a lot more helpful.

Does this help? The one with the under line is the cam shaft position sensor for bank 1. P0340 is generated when this sensor or the cable is failed in most of the case.
