Humming noice after engine stops
Hello everyone. I have a 95 LS400, with about 65,000 miles.
So here is the question: after the engine stops, the car often makes this humming noice under the hood that lasts a few seconds and intermittenly comes back; this will go on for a few minutes. I think this ususally will happen after I have used the AC on a hot day, but I am not 100% certain.
I don't think this is anything major and this has been going on for some time. Just thought to ask and hopefully get educated.
Thanks.

from what I understand, it's the aux fan that keeps working to cool down the system even wen you shut off the car. to double check you can keep the hood open and turn the car off. see where the humm is coming from. more than likely it will be that of the fan.

Thanks a lot. I'll give it try tonight. Hope the aux fan is the cause.
