Upgrade Stereo Radio KEH-9641ZT in 1991 LS400 to Hizpo mechless Head Unit
Please anyone with relevant experience: I could use some assistance! Pointers to free wiring diagrams/schematics of the car would be very welcome (I will buy if I have to).
I have ordered the Hizpo 8.1 Android (annoying that they seem to avoid model numbers that can be helpful to sharers in VIRTUALLY ALL the on-line listings I can find! Even Amazon listings are Model Number free!).
My hope is to have a gadget that can RECORD LOGS from the TOYOBD1 I have attached to the Diagnostic Connector in hopes of tracking down the Unresponsive-to-gas-pedal-after-long-drive-or-heat-soak problem that happens only at the worst times possible. And a little bit, to make it more acceptable to my daughter as a "free car" if she wants to pay the gas bill! Car is at 85000 miles so even though it is old I think it is a really comfortable ride!
So far I have been able to determine that my original radio Pioneer KEH-9641ZT is covered in a different Service Manual (KEH-M9741ZT, notice the M added, that's important!).
Found a CONNECTOR FUNCTION DESCRIPTION here on page 4 so it is free:
https://www.manualscenter.com/.../kehm9741zt-service...
But, the Connector Function Descriptions are kind of vague, especially in telling me if they are INPUT or OUTPUT.
I am a retired EE so some are self-evident to me, but others require some guessing.
I've marked my unsure ones with ?, thanks if you can help out!
1. REAR Rch+ OUTPUT
2. REAR Lch+ OUTPUT
3. REAR Rch- OUTPUT
?4. BACK UP 1
?5. ILLUM-
6. REAR Lch- OUTPUT
1. TEL MUTE
2. WOOFER + OUTPUT
?3. MUTE
?4. ANT 1
?5. ANT 0
6. WOOFER - OUTPUT
1. FRONT Rch+ OUTPUT
2. FRONT Lch+ OUTPUT?
3. ACC?
4. BACK UP 2
5. FRONT Rch- OUTPUT
6. FRONT Lch- OUTPUT
7. GND?
8. ANT+?
9. AMP+?
10. ILLUM+
I think there might be an external amp for the woofer, anyone know about that?
Thanks in advance!

I'm sure most of your concerns will be covered in this thread:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...er-thread.html
yes there is an external amp for the subwoofer, located under the pass side seat.

FOLLOW UP: This schematic was a HUGE HELP towards getting my goal of Android Head Unit reading from OBD1 stream and logging for later examination.
Sorry I failed to THANK @aptoslexus so Belated Thank you!
Now I am BACK since I think the TOYOCOM device I ran for a year seems to have baked to death when connected to the DLC1 connector under the hood.
I think that by connecting the TOYOCOM to the DLC2 connector IN THE CABIN it may have a longer life. BUT the DLC2 connector does not have a +B (always on) signal available to power the TOYOCOM. Since DLC2 connector is just inches from "Driver's Side Kick Panel" fuse box, I was hoping I would find SOMETHING that was always hot and I could use one of those piggy-back fuse taps to connect to it.
Now I think the schematic above is telling me I will NOT find any thing +B (always on) in "Driver's Side Kick Panel" fuse box. Looks like the only always-hot fuses are in the fuse box under the hood: DOME, RADIO NO. 1, and TEL.
Did I miss anything?
Thanks for any suggestions!
