Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum..I got a 95 ls400..the car sometimes has problems starting up i don't know if it's because is cold or what. It turns over just fine. The battery is ok and i don't think it's the starter.
When I do turn it on the cars RPMs keep rising in idle..as if I'm pushing the gas pedal very slowly. It doesn't surge like other people's problems..the needle doesn't jump it just keeps rising.

DOES ANYONE have any issues like this and clue what can cause this and how to fix it?
is it an IACV, TPS, THROTTLE CABLE, DIRTY THROTTLE BODY...WHAT? Thanks

does it keep rising until it reaches redline? or does it have a stopping point?
possible you have a stuck throttle body, or gas pedal.

if not, then there are vacuum lines to inspect, IACV, etc.

Ok I'll check that out. I was thinking maybe a TPS or IAC but I can see myself paying 300+ on a new one.
But after I posted this I turned the car on and it idled fine. RPMs at 800-900 let it sit for about 20 mins or so then turned it off. Couple days later (yesterday) turned it on and now the RPMs drops down then stalls out in idle...
