I had some kids drag a huge tree branch down the driveway next to my car when I was at a client's house. It scratched the driver's side from front to back. You never know what really happened to your car. In my case, I didn't see them do it, but I did see them dragging branches when I arrived. I saw a woman sideswipe a car in the Walmart parking lot with her HUGE purse. She didn't even know what she had done. Wrangling with a bunch of kids, trying to get them and everything else in the car. Thankfully mine was just clear coat damage and Meguiars Scratch X worked pretty well. I traded it off not long after that. It was a black Mark VIII and I could still see the scratch every time I was walking up to it from a distance and the sun was shining on it the right way.
If I were you I would try to find the closest match paint possible and at least fill it in before rust sets in. If you take your time and use a paint pen or a very tiny brush (even one with just a couple of hairs), you may be able to fill it in pretty good. Take your time and thin the paint if it gets to gloppy. In a pinch you can use Goof Off (not Goo Gone) to thin the paint. Walmart has it over by where they mix paints for your house. It comes in a can that looks like the old lighter fluid cans. Again, take your time and at least fill it in. It will at least prevent rust and won't be so obvious.

man these are tough to repair...sorry to see!
other than a full repaint, which will be very hard due to the 3-stage pearl white, best is just to touch it up with a paint pen.
the way to do this is to "fill" the crevice with the paint, let dry, compound the surface, and buff it to a shine again.
not easy, as it does take practice!

Man that's the worst. I can't believe people. My pass side rear door has deep scratch marks like this too which I noticed but slowly learned to live with also in Diamond White Pearl.

Would definitely fill carefully with touch up, piled on so it rests above the rest of the paint, then carefully wetsand it level, compound, and polish. If you get another deck lid you should still try this out for practice.
