need help identifying this part
broke this piece trying to remove the EGR valve
this is where it goes when it's not broken off. what exactly does this do, no check engine lights have turned on so far, any input would be greatly appreciated

Classik90s- That's a vacuum switch valve solenoid. It's part of the emission control. The piece that's broken off is the filter. What year is your LS & are you in Southern Cal? I think I have an extra one. PM me.
