I broke one of the guides and one of the attachment points when I removed the driver’s side turn signal for the first time. I used to have a hard time getting my turn signal out of my Solara as well. I remembered a tool I fabricated for another project and tried it on the turn signal. It works perfectly. When I made this tool, I bent it two times. It only needs to be bent into an ‘L’ shape to work for this application: 1) Remove top screw, 2) Insert tool as shown and rotate to catch the front edge of the light, 3) Pull forward, and 4) Rotate upwards and pull the light out.
