Default Lexus LS 400 -92, transmission lack of power

Video of noise:

Problem occured a couple of weeks after having changed the 2nd solenoid in the transmission. It lacks any sort of power, kind of like when the transmission is low on ATF fluid.

I went under the car and realised I had missed to install 1 out of 19 bolts for the transmission pan. Could have been a possible ATF fluid leak. I drove the car up to 60 km/h back from work, with this problem. It took 25 minutes. When I got home to check the ATF fluid level, the dipstick was steaming and dry.

However, if I check the fluid when the car is off, having sat for a while, the dipstick is pink and smells ATF fluid. I don't really dare to drive the car up to operating temperature to check the correct level. My strategy is to fill the transmission level with half a litre/quart, and see if it makes any difference.

What do you think?

I am thankful for any tips and advices!

How much fluid did you collect on the solenoid change? If the car was shifting ok then, what comes out is replaced with same amount. Keep adding fluid till it shifts normally.

Thanks for the reply! I believe the level added was correct and I drove it for a couple of weeks without any problems. Perhaps there have been a small leak and it ran really poorly when I drove it home for 30 minutes and perhaps the transmission was damaged during this period.

I went under the car and could hear metallic rattling noise from the transmission pan. I have a new video of this noise below:

I am going to remove the transmission pan and perhaps I will see some debris floating around or such, maybe the second solenoid fell off......

Doesn't sound good. Does the noise increase with RPM's?

That's a lot of racket. Was it making this noise before the solenoid change? If not I would pull the pan and re-inspect.
