Hey guys, I got a 90 ls400 and code 42 keeps popping up (sensor got changed) and odo/speed is not moving (speed needle wiggles like the tach needle). I was thinking if the instrument panel is the culprit since I think the sensor goes to the panel and then the signal in the panel to the ECU. Maybe a bad wire? bad capacitors? I saw something online once of a blue or pink wire which bypasses the cluster straight to the ECU but I can't find it anywhere (I think it was a sc400 post). If it is capacitors, anyone know which capacitor specs are needed?

Cluster around 40 bucks in a junkyard,10 bucks for a 90 day warranty.

I bought a used $20 ECU (working 100% according to the ad) because I recapped mine but no help.
I bought a used cluster for $170 on ebay (working 100% supposedly) because I found no junkers with 90-92 ls400s (saw about 4 95-97s)

I plan on changing both things sunday and hoping it all fixes itself.
