Different Dash problem on ‘94 LS400
Same Board, new problemHi everyone- Several years ago I used this forum to repair my dash by replacing C147, C142, C214, and C212, and it worked great for a number of years. Now it stopped working again, so I ordered the specific electrolytic capacitors that Yamae recommended in this forum. Unfortunately, the problem is now in a different area not mentioned, and those previous repairs are still good. One of the original caps has melted and burned a small part of the large board, just above the blue connector CNB, and about 2cm to the right of C108. I think the burned one says C106. Can you tell me what type of Capacitor this is? Also, the back of the board is slightly burned and a couple of the board leads are gone. Does anyone have a picture of the back of the board where C106 goes, so I can attach jumpers to bypass the missing lines? THANKS!

Yes - it looks like it says C106. That capacitor leaked and caused the problem. If you know what type of cap it is, and what the circuit board routing is on the backside so I can splice a line, I’d love to try to fix this. Or if you know where I can access the capacitor type and a photo of the backside of this board, that would help too. This is the large circuit board of the ‘94 LS400 dashboard. Thanks!
