my water pump went out 18k miles, 2 years.
I bought my kit (139.95) from true blue auto parts in NY..... all is fine but the rattling water pump, lost all my water..
I sent an email , I am sure they had a good laugh.. now with 500$ additional labor, my low priced kit was not a money saver.
POSTED SO YOU WOULD KNOW... get a good one..

In todays world it is getting very hard to tell what is quality anymore. Brands I've paid up for in the past for quality pads and rotors, seem to be shifting their manufacturing to China like all the others. Really disappointing.

Sorry to hear. That's a tough spot with all that is being produced in China these days. We don't have the certainty that one factory to another is going to have the same quality to the next. Put some Centric discs and pads on one of the cars and so far been pretty good. But at the same time, reading reviews there are some unhappy buyers across other known brands too. The Aisin kit went into ours and that shop only uses Toyota/Lexus factory parts unless stated otherwise.

And again and again. You can spend for the top quality Lexus brand name on any part. But just remember it is a world economy, and almost everything is made in china. Even that branded Lexus oem part can be made in china. There is no guarantee that the high costing, what you think is top notch may be just as bad as the cheapy part. China and I would suppose even OEM's are wising up and even if the part is made in china they could stamp it made in Japan or USA, this day and age there is no guarantee where the parts are made or if they are any good.

If the Japanese OEM supplier has U.S. production facilities, then occasionally made in USA...
However, I have determined that Lexus bought O2 sensors, timing belts...etc.are better quality than than those sourced from their OEM venders selling aftermarket; ie Denso, Aisin and Mitsubishi...
The OEM vendor aftermarket stuff IS NOT equivalent..
Granted Lexus OEM can cost a lot more, it is usually more durable and better fit...oftentimes from Japan
Case in point: read my post on Aisin Timing belt kit... (timing belt)
