Default 1990 LS400 Braking(?) Problem

So I've had this 1990 LS400 for about a year now and I've run into a concerning problem. My brakes are doing some weird ******. The car will barely slow down when the brake pedal is pressed down and even seems to accelerate slightly. Nearly didn't get home after work in one piece due to this issue. Luckily I didn't have very far to go to get home. Can anyone speculate on this problem?

Sounds like you need a standard brake service. New pads, rotors, brake fluid flush, calipers and related hardware inspected and lubed, cleaned, and if necessary replaced.

Try to be more descriptive.

Is the pedal effort higher than usual, or does it have all the boost you normally get? Test booster by applying brakes six times with the engine off, start engine, pedal should sink under engine vacuum.

Is the brake reservoir level lower than usual?

Do you see any wetness at the calipers, especially the fronts?

Is there any swerving?

Is this heat-related as in brake fade? Early Lexii did not get rid of heat build-up too well. Make sure your left rims are on the left and your right rims are on the right. These are uni-directional wheels that help dissipate brake heat.

One of my brake lines broke over the summer and leaked on my way home, make sure to check the reservoir. If it's low could be a broken line.
