It is the stock fuel pump on the Toyota pickup, it fed the 3.0 v6 previously. Everything I read said it was adequate for this engine.
Maybe I am mistaken, but if anything, wouldn’t I be possibly underfueling? When I plug the fuel return line, the way I understand it, is it supplies more fuel to the injectors through increased pressure. I don’t know the system well enough, I just assumed.

I think the thing to remember is the air fuel relationship. The issue may not be fuel at all, and if it is still struggling at any point in the rev range, I wouldn't bank on pinching the line as an indication of the root cause. YOu might simply be altering the fuel delivery to a point that the ECU THINKS that matches its air delivery. But when you get to higher rpms, they may not lineup because the ecu is getting the wrong information.
If you unplugged the AFM and there was no difference, your AFM is not working. It should make a big difference when unplugged. YOu should also get an error code.

Welp, got 80% of my problems figured out. There was a wire I did not wire in, secondary o2 to ground. Now my alternator plugs in and works, the iac valve started working(kind of), and my ecu started flashing codes again.
now, I am still overfueling and underpowered, but I have a lot more power than I did before, still has a rough idle and seems to intermittently misfire. It is drinking the fuel. When I first grounded the secondary o2 sensor, all my o2 codes went away. But now codes 27 and 29 are back. Truck seems to run a little rougher when I plug in the afm.
Now my big question, when I turn the key to on, the check light flashes rapidly, like twice a second. When the engine starts and is running the light goes solid. If the engine dies with the key on, the check light starts flashing again. Only codes I have are 27 29 31. What does the rapid flashing mean.
thank you all again.
