They either quit selling the newer one or I bought the 95-97 and used it. I can’t find my order, but if I remember I bought one of the 95-97 and it fit. I’ll see if I can find the paperwork tomorrow.

Has anyone been able to confirm if a shield for a 95-97 will work on a 98 LS400? Ive checked ebay and amazon and cant seem to find any for a 98 LS400. but there are plenty for sale for 95-97 model years.

thanks

I've got one on my 98. Not all the screw holes line up, but most of them do. You might have to drill a hole or two, but you can make it work.

I need to get a replacement one too. Anyone seen the Ebay ad for a Genuine Toyota one for $80?? I messaged the seller if it was the correct part and will see what they say. A few bucks more for factory one doesn't hurt.

It's for 95-early 98 models. From what I read, it should fit but you will have to cut different holes. I just ordered one....$89.64 including tax and s/h.

I found a few "aftermarket" brands that were cheaper than the one I purchased. I'm sure the one you ordered will do fine. Sometimes, I'm just picky when it comes to replacing parts. LOL

Once I replace mine, I will definitely give an update.

I got mine installed this evening. Took about 20 mins to install. It fits very nicely. I did not have to modify the shield at all. I ended up mounting it in the rear with 2 screws and used the 5 or so screws in the front to mount under bumper.

Are you sure that's not upside down?

That's my thought too. The shipping/strap lugs extend down through the slots. As well the radiator overflow tube will drain right out the opening.

The drain hole is supposed to be on the passenger side.
