Default Introduction / AFM / MAF Issue

Hello from Germany,

my name ist Martin and I bought a 1994 Lexus LS400 a few monthas ago, before I have bought the car, i was reading a lot as a guest here on this Forum and learned a lot from the great peolple here. In my opinion the best Lexus Forum worldwide!

As I am facing a first problem with my car I would like to ask for help istantly.

During a big service on the car, exchanging all Fluids and Filters, I made the 'beginners-mistake' to flush and clean the AFM / MAF with brake cleaner and compressed air, of course it was gone afterwards, EFI Error memory showed Code 31 and 24. So I invested 400USD in a new AFM.
My problem is now, that even with the new AFM the problem still exists, CEL is still on, the idle is terrible and the car runs really rich, pulling the plug from the AFM does not change anything. The new AFM is statically checked and the resistance is in spec. If I rev. The engine to 2000 rpm ad above, the CEL disappears, but comes back as soon as I am going back to idle again. The warm engine stalls from time to time. Output of the AFM Plug is in spec as well (5V Signal), no air leaks, Idle Control Valve is working. ECU shows no leaking caps.

I am a little bit confused and honestly, at the end of my knowledge, help is very appreciated!

Many thanks for advisory.

Best regards,

Martin.
