Need help. 91 Ls400
Problem started today when i took out the air filter for an inspection.
Looked fine to what i could see. Decided to clean the maf. Let it dry for about 2 hours. When i went to start the car, it started ran fine for about 2 seconds and then went into a roller coaster motion in rpms. would idle at around 800 then drop down to almost 0, the engine would not die but instead kick itself back up to 800 and repeated this until i manually shut the car off myself.
My question is why.
Why would it do this?
What could be a fix?
I have done a search, and i have read that cleaning the maf could be bad....(wish i would of read it before) but i havent seen anyone getting the same problem as i have. Looking for input. Please help

MAF sensors are SUPER SENSITIVE to cleaning. Most of the time not really worth it unless it is acting up. Allow more time for it to throughly dry,, pretty much think you are gonna need a new MAF though.
