Greetings! New here.
Hello all,
I've been lurking for 6 months, and looking for my first Lex. Found her in Costa Mesa, and she is on her way to me. I'm seriously pumped up. Looking for about a year, and seriously for 6 months. Your posts have been a huge help, and THANKS!
I'll post a pic if I can figure out how.
She is bone stock, 2000 platinum series, with 103 k miles on the clock.
Budget will keep her stock for a bit. But plans include wheels, tires, altitude adjustment, and sound upgrade.
Maintance will come first. Timing belt, and all associated. ECT.
Thanks again to all all for sharing the knowledge and experience!
Hope to have contributions my self in time.
Peace!

Looks super nice, hands down 98-2000 the best cars ever made period. Man she is so clean, keep her original the way it's intended, you won't regret, they spend over a billion dollars and over 1000 engineers to get it perfecto aka project F in the 80's. It won't ever happen again with any car project with any company.

I would keep it just like that too.

Thanks! She has arrived and I have had a chance to look her over good. She inspects as an honestly represented car one owner and no accidents. Door jams, trunk and under hood jam areas all look as produced in Japan. I am super stoked to find this car. The guys at ideal motors in Costa Mesa California represented the car honestly and accurately. Props to the Jim, and his sons they run a tight ship and a good used car business. That sounds like an oxymoron, but I believe it to be true. A good friend of mine just bought an ES 350 2009 from Jim and is super happy. She was able to describe exactly what she wanted and he found the exact car she wanted, color and the whole deal, and was very reasonable and friendly as far as pricing.
I appreciate the advice on keeping the car stock. But, I have never driven a stock vehicle for more than about 500 miles. I have exhaust, suspension, and stereo mods in mind. Just not in my nature to keep something as built. Keep in mind, I have huge respect for the Japanese engineering that went into this car. That is exactly why I purchased this car. I have no doubt that the Japanese engineered a true masterpiece. Understand, I have no plans to stance the car, or tuck 20s. Not my deal. I will make all attempts to keep a post stream on the planned "build". But, having just excepted a job offer teaching Airframe&powerplant (Aircraft maintenance) I will have to leave her stock for a while.
Sorry the long post, I am just excited as hell to be driving a MASTERPIECE!
thanks
Andrew
