Default Piston, Mark 1, 2, and 3...

2000 LS400. Whoever did the timing belt, etc service forgot to tighten a couple of bolts on one of the cam sprockets. Result? Busted piston, bent valves and two busted valves. I need a piston. So looking around I keep seeing "drivers side" and "passenger side" pistons. Also is a Mark 1, Mark 2, or Mark 3. What the heck?

EDIT: Aren't all 8 pistons on this engine designed the same?

How does one navigate to the one I need? They're even different prices. Thanks, Steve.

Well, not entirely helpful. I purchased the car 2.5yrs ago from an individual who hired a mechanic who could work on a Lexus. He did it.

I still need to buy a new piston, but can't do so because apparently there is a passenger and driver's side piston, along with Marks 1,2 and 3 types; all for the same engine.

Is there nobody who has replaced pistons who might know if this is significant?

Thanks again, Steve.
