Default Strut rod question.

So i bought some new strut rod's online and they didn't have the studs pressed in. Didn't even realize that would be an issue when I ordered them about four months ago, just now getting around to installing them. I can't find any info on where to buy or if they even see them individually. Does anyone know? I wanted to just install new ones and not have to press the old ones and into the new assembly.

well I called lexus and you are out of luck, they have NO part number.. take your old one off replace the nut and drive it out or take the strut to your BEST hardware store and see if they have the bolt/s..

Wow, I've never seen Billy so salty!

I'd just take both sets of bars to a machine shop or something and see what's cheaper, press out and in the bushings or the studs. Your old bars are probably fine, it's the bushings that get shot.

Thanks for the info. My whole plan was to just have everything at once and install everything together but clearly that's not the plan now. I'm assuming in the event that you damage the bolt in some way you would have to replace the arm itself? Or have to look around for a new bolt?

just having a little fun... nothing to do but day dream wildly , dumb things...new rods from Lexus are only about 120 each... if washington had a "ELLIOTS HARDWARE" HIS TROUBLE WOULD BE OVER.
