Driver door handle/lock issue

Interesting problem. Some linkage came disconnected from the driver door handle and the door no longer opens from the outside, inside fine. I rolled my window down while driving and the mechanism that lowers the window contacted something and the door popped open on its own. Lucky I was doing >30 mph. I have been able to duplicate it twice but fear damaging something important. Looks like the door panel will be coming off in the future. Has anyone experienced this before?

not exactly but a lot of us have door handle experiences, there are only 4 little plastic clips holding it all together..
