Default Possessed parking break?

Hi everyone!, So i noticed this has happened to me a couple of times to my LS400 which is my daily. I was parking on a super steep hill and i used the parking break everything was normal. I come back outside release the parking break and then back out the driveway when i switched into drive I noticed that the car was barely moving forward but still enough so that the average person wouldn't notice. Upon accelerating car was noticeably slower 5-10 minutes later I could tell that the break was freeing up drove it back on the high way at about 80mph and it seemed fine. I even went to feel the heat from the breaks and they weren't extremely hot. Any ideas, I been driving car ever since and its been fine it just takes about 25-30 minutes of driving on the highway for it to get hot enough to release I suppose.

P.S- Also when having the parking break on and having the car in drive and trying to let it roll forward it does not move at all this is what led me to believe it was safe to start driving as it was not super restricted.

sounds like your brake shoes (yes your emergency brakes are drum brakes inside the rear rotors) are getting stuck. you will need to open it up and assess/lube the parts and possibly replace a few things. also check the brake cables (not hoses) of any kinks or damage.
