Front brakes squeal LS 400 and 460
I have owned a 1995 400, 1999 400, and currently a 2008 460 L. In all cars the front brakes squeal for about 2 rotations when starting on trip then are fine sound wise for the duration of the trip. Most of them time it is when the air was moisture in it or after a rain. I believe it is an inherent problem with the model. Anybody have experience or thoughts on this?
Thank you
Thank you

We have a 2016 RAV4 that does this on cold mornings. On the 99 LS though, I replaced the front and rear brake pads with akebonos, but they only supplied 2 small grease packets.
Followed the instructions, but they were squealing pretty bad. Got some brake cleaner and CRC Brake Quiet and applied it liberally to all 4 pads and the noise was 100% gone.
Good luck with getting rid of the squeal

I have this problem to on my 97. I've got wagner thermoquiets and it still makes that squeal on the first pedal application.
I'll try putting a thin layer of the CRC brake quiet and see it if takes care of it. You don't think its hardware related right? I noticed on my Lexusdrivers logs of work being done, that when the first owner got my car brand new off the lot, he was already at the dealer for a brake squeal issue within the first month, which they swapped out brake pads for as a good will gesture.
Funny, even brand new Toyotas are still doing this. I used to work as a vehicle test engineer and Toyota was one of our customers. They always had us do cold morning brake squeal parking lot tests to see how much noise the cars were making. Every single one still had some type of issue. Humid climates like in Florida were even worse.

BG Stop SquealPN 860BG Stop Squeal eliminates annoying, whining, or squealing brakes.
One of the most frequent complaints from vehicle owners is squealing brakes. Brake noise can be caused by:
• Loose or worn brake pad components vibrate
• Excessive friction from stuck brake calipers
As part of the BG Stop Squeal Service, BG Stop Squeal is a safe and effective product for eliminating or preventing brake noise by infusing the brake pad with ingredients that reduce sticking between the pad and rotor. When pressure is applied, the vibrations are significantly reduced, thus brake noise is stopped.
I used this in my Professional repair shop for 20+ years, NEVER had a comeback
