Default 97 LS300 - need to replace trunk lock

Our trunk was damaged and we have a replacement, but would like to keep our original lock. When we tried to take the lock off the replacement trunk, the screw heads broke off.

Any suggestions on what to do next? Thanks

If they're easily accessible, try and get one of those drill bits that is meant for broken stud removal. Since you're not concerned about saving the replacement trunk lock, you could also drill right through the mounting screws and housing and get it off that way.
