Default 94 LS400 modding

So, I have an LS400 with the 1uzfe V8. I love my car and the way it sounds as is but the lack of horse power is making me sad. I've been looking at videos of modded engines of this car and would like to do the same. I've seen turbos and super chargers in this car and what I would like to do is throw a supercharger on the engine and a remote turbo stand alone oil system in the rear. I was hoping some fellow lexus owners could help me with adding these mods to my car once acquired. I was wondering what the best parts for my car would as far as brands go so I don't blow up my engine with wrong parts. This is my first project car so please keep the negativity to a minimum 😊

If I was going to try to hot rod a UZ it would not be a 1UZ, it would be a 2UZ. If you start trying to increase pressures in these engines you will find the weak areas real quick. And besides these are really very small displacement engines. Gosh an old 55 chev had a larger engine.
And remember the more you try to push the power envelope the more the durability goes down. Your looking at spending big bucks for almost no return on horse power.
And I don't think there is much for aftermarket speed equipment for these engines or the cars. If I was looking for big cheap HP it would not be a Lexus engine.

I'm not trying to cheaply upgrade the engine for a few hp. I'm really just trying to make a quiet drag sleeper out of my car. The 3 racing engine shops in my state won't touch it because it's to much of a Hassel and same thing when asked about making a bigger engine all together. So I went with what I found people doing to boost their hp by 250-600 hp over all with these mods.

I suppose the basic UZ would do over 600 plus hp, but it is not going to be for very long. It would be way cheaper and faster to get it done, with NOS than a super charger of any sort.

I'm mainly a Ford guy but if you want a reliable sleeper drag car you need to just put an LS in it and be done. Anything on the 1UZ is pretty much an experiment.

Aside from NOS it will be very expensive to mod the 1UZ. Lots of guys in Australia and New Zealand mod the 1UZ but, not much support over here.

If I was going to spend a bunch of money to make my LS400 a 'sleeper', I'd throw in an LS3 E-rod crate engine and be done with it.

I'm seeing a pattern in these last two posts...
