Looking For Recommendations: A Sportier LS400?
Well, right now I have a '95 Lexus LS400. It's a nice car - great interior, engine and overall quality - but I would like something sportier and maybe smaller in dimensions. However, I've been spoiled by the V8 engine, so I'm not quite sure about smaller engine cars. On the other hand, this IS my first car (lucky, aren't I) and I haven't tested many types of cars, so a fast 4 cylinder COULD be viable.
Anyways, I'm not looking for specific model suggestions more than I am for general ideas. Like a range of cars... For example, a welcomed response would be like "look at a Mustang or a car similar to it."
My budget is around $20k, which I may be able to push to $25k.
Thanks for reading, and I hope I can get some detailed (and educational!) comments. =)

Hey there, welcome.
The only fast cars for $25K (new) or less that are actually worth something are Subarus. Of course, they won't be nearly as nice as the LS.
But if you want a sporty car that is quite decent in other regards, it's difficult to choose something other than Subaru considering that budget. If you're wanting something used, $20-25K will get you a VERY nice previous-generation Lexus SC.

I was thinking along the lines of an SC, as well ('98+?), but other people in fact have recommended the GS over the SC (even after I mentioned my SC idea).

Are you dead set on a 2 door?
Personally I would go for the GS as well, nothing against the SC, I think they are one of the best
looking car out there. Since you're used to the LS and you did mentioned wanting something a bit smaller in size and sportier.....GS is a perfect fit.
Or maybe even an IS300, if you don't mind moving down 3 steps in size and I6 vs V8.
