Lazy Seat belt?

Update
Ok so since my other belt I believe was from a 98-2000 LS400 I found one that would fit my car on eBay . I picked it up and it just came in today. So far so good minus a small whole in the box from that pole that sticks out. The belt seems to retract fine and looks in good shape out the box. I'm probably just going to clean it up and will post how well it works once it is installed.
However, I do have a question I hope you guys can answer. When the belt was removed they seemed to have not pushed the button that flips the lever to the remove position. Would this cause any issues and should I move it to the remove position before installing?
Down below I have attached a photo of it:

Well good news the belt off eBay worked . Now my belt retracts while driving!! It was a bit dirty so I cleaned it and now she holds tight. I do still have the belt from craigslist and the guy just stopped texting me so I guess I'm stuck trying to sell it. I looked up the part number of it (7G3510-009-P) and it looks like it was for a 98, 99, and 2000 LS400. So if any of you are looking for a tan belt of those years I'll be happy to sell it to you
