Since the ignition switch is something easy to get I'd just put a new one in. I did the take it apart clean it deal on my driver door lock switch and it was working great till yesterday when I opened the door and the alarm went off though its been very cold out side so its not a good test. With an ignition switch I wouldn't want to be stuck some place with the starter constantly running. I hope you either have the tools or a battery disconnect for emergency's.
