Default 1994 ls400 tps problem Bad caps now what

hey guys. I just picked this up on Friday and I am trying to work some bugs out of it. The car runs great until I give it more than half throttle after half throttle it starts to buck and check engine light comes on. Code 41 TPS sensor. Replaced TPS sensor and same problem. No change. I connected a scanner to it and after half throttle it drops to 0. Before it slowly goes up from 0 to 24 and then back to 0. Has anyone ran into this before? ecu maybe? I looked at the pins and the wiring and see no problem. Help please

Check the resistance and see if it does that sudden drop off. Could be ecu.

I checked it at the tps plug and it was good. I will check it at the ecu tomorrow.

I was looking at an LS in Arkansas with that exact issue. I figured TPS or ECU but didn't end up buying it. Are you in KC?

Well I just back probed the ecu and the reading are right going into the ecu. So that means it is definitely the ecu. Now the question is should I open up the ecu or just send it off to be repaired?

Send it to Driftmotion for a rebuild or replace it all together with a eBay or pick'n'pull ECU. Thanks for updating this!

Call Tanin they support this site. They can either fix it or sell the parts.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I am going to try and replace the caps myself. If I screw it up I can always order another one.

If you can solder well, just replace them. Only costs around $12. If you can't, find a friend.
