Barn Find - 93 LS400
I always keep an eye on Craigslist for various cars and came across this yesterday. A 93 LS with only 48k in absolutely mint condition for $8500. It's a lot of money, but it looks perfect to me.

So what you're saying is it's a 23 year old car with a great body and interior that was barely ever driven and has no given service records?
It's going to need every single piece of rubber in the suspension replaced along with a complete overhaul since the ad makes no mention of the timing belt or any maintenance.
Great if you want a display piece. Less useful if you want a driver. This seems like something a local dealer would want to ****** up to put in their showroom, where nobody would ask to drive it.

If you really want a good one, buy this. If it has been sitting it may need a full and complete service and timing belts etc due to age and leather treatment to keep it pristine.
I wish my interior looked this good.
The young man does make a good point, id say seals maybe deteriorated unless run reguarly. Same with the A/c system.

Anyone that would spend that kind of cash on that car would have to be very stupid to drive it. First of all the insurance company would not pay anywhere near that to replace it. Second it would be just like flushing money down the toilet, because when you start to drive it and acquire dings and dents and sun and weather damage and miles and wear and tear your 8K plus car becomes just what the normal ones are going for very quickly, and do some mods and the price falls even more. That car is for someone that will park it in a place to display it, and that is the only way its worth spending that much. You can find okay ones for less than half that.
