I would really like to see a collection of the various colors of the cars in person or rather a gallery type deal, and not just the color chart, the colors just aren't a good representation in the chart.

I have a buddy who was out taking pics of one generation of cars to get sample paint codes from. With the varying light conditions he was frustrated that the results varied so much. He didn't feel it was representative of the actual color.
cool idea. document them now before they get too old to really know what the factory paint was really like.
I'm not sure what a "gallery" would be. Colors shift depending on lighting conditions. Photographs are an approximation. Viewing photographs on a monitor is another filter you have to look through. If your monitor hasn't been calibrated, it may not even look anything like the photograph.
The paint on original cars probably isn't even consistent. Paint will vary depending on the mix at the factory. That paint code on your car? It's a ballpark color. I had an auto paint shop mix the same code three times and I got three different colors, none of which matched the car.
