Valve body mod is the minimum mod you can get, from places like IPT and Level10.

I think I have a wright up somewhere on here, but like PD ^^^^^ said, the SC forum has more info on it.

Default A650E Shift kit

Has anyone had a 'proper' shift kit from ITP or anyone else ? Seriously thinking of doing one on my LS but would really like to talk to someone who's had one done already... Or if anyone knows anything about them ?....

You had created 2 threads about the same topic, common accident. I merged the threads together.

Any luck with a shift kit? Transgo confirmed when I asked that the A650e kit isn't performance oriented.

Nope... I understand to get anything like what I'm after I need a stage 1 shift kit from ITP... I hate the 'laziness' of the A650.... I know thats what its designed to do but for motorheads like me Id love to 'liven' the tranny up... bump up the line pressure a bit and give the transmission some bite... not all this wishy washy gear changes.... ...... Havent got the $$ at present but its the next mod i'll get done.... About $1,000AUD including about $200 freight.... for me, well worth it....

if you want to cure the laziness you could look at the toyomoto style shift rod setup the IS300 guys use, it should work just fine in the LS400 98+. They are ~1-200 on ebay these days.

They are basically accumulator shims. If you're adventurous you can make your own set with the specs given, or buy a set from ebay. ~$130.

The search terms you want are "toyomoto shift kit" for the is300.
