Default I'm back ;)

What up what up peeps!!

Sorry about being away so long, let me catch you all up!

Tragedy struck one morning, Thursday 10/15.
I was casually driving through a really sharp road in my Gray LS, and cutting through a blind corner I didn't see a lady in a new MBZ sitting at a dead stop for no apparent reason..
Long story short, it was fresh rain, I lost traction spun out and hit a guard rail.. My baby was totalled, couldn't salvage anything destroyed the crash beam, and radiator was pushed back a whole foot into the block..

As it stands, I was pretty much.. how do you say it? Screwed..

Well, until I received a letter in the mail from my insurance company, somebody had video footage of the accident and had reported it!!

I got paid $3500 for my Lexus, and that began the journey for my new car..
Searching, Searching, LS400, GS400, SC400? come on come on!!

Couldn't find a clean body for cheap..

Then a buddy of mine calls and says, lets check out an auction, so I decided to the hell of it, I need a daily, maybe a nice Honda.

After hours at this hell hole, nothing...

As I'm walking back to his car, out of the corner of my eye.. I spotted her, a BEAUTIFUL SECOND GEN UCF20, FOR SALE SIGN!!

Clean body, clean title, 240k on the odo, swapped with a same year, 100K motor.

Guy was asking 3K, I talked him down to 2200, we talked for a few days back and forth, until finally I went to get the car!!!

I had a beautiful clean 96' LS400, and $1300 more to spend, so what do I do? Naturally I look for coilovers.. duh, found some nice Megans on ebay for $800, and a friend of mine gave me his 350z rims, and I wheel tucked the hell out of it!

Now I got my paycheck, and been saving.

Be prepared for the build to come; Twin Turbo Ls400!!!!!!

Plans so far:

2UZFE block
1UZFE (1st gen crank)
Custom bearings
Chevy HBeam Rods
Custom pistons
Stock 1st gen 1UZ heads.
2UZFE Tundra Headers, custom flanged
Ebay twin turbo kit
Walbro 190/255 lph
400/500 INJECTORS
Standalone ecu (whatever I can find on the spot for cheaper!)

Sorry for your loss and congrats on the pickup.

As far as the rest of it goes........let's just say i'll keep an eye on this thread. I've seen dozens of similar "TURBO LS400" threads over the years so we'l see if there's some good follow-through.

Would love to be proven wrong

Don't expect this to be a week build, unfortunately. I work at O'Reilly; and although the discount is the best! Well, my paychecks don't necessarily agree.
This is going to be a long journey probably in the years, but everytime something new is purchases, I will be updating it on here. Thanks for bearing with me.

Hope to see more of an audience pick up here ;-)

Sorry to hear about what happened to your previous LS. Glad to hear you are okay and back into things with your new LS.

It's been a couple days since an update, sorry I've been really busy at work!
Well, the ideas keep flowing; I wanted something different, something not many Lexus owners have done, so I added a tow hook, on the back, to be completely honest, the way our factory tow hooks sit on our rear-end is perfect, not too far out, not too far in. sits flush with my rear bumper, I had it bolted on then had somebody weld it to my tow hook, so it really had a purpose.
While I was back there I decided.. well I wonder what it will look like with smoked tail lights, and boy can I say it's an aggressive difference!

Something farther away so you can see the lights, on top of the tow hook. I bought a little Baymax plush from Target to hang from the tow hook, and man he matches the color of my car

Here's a closer look of the tail light, It's a nice dark, but not too dark that you can't see the light from under it. I decided since the lights are off the car, I'll do a full LED upgrade. It's super bright, but unfortunately I don't have resistors so I'm stuck with that annoying light on my dash, as well as super fast turn signals.. it's ok! I still enjoy it.

I just can't even....

What is the point of the tow hook, just rices the car out in my opinion. There are factory tow hooks there already
