This is my first lexus and its amazing i bought it used 1 year ago and just this week it started to have issues. It first started with when under braking the radio unit would shut off. then just today when I would brake the whole car would shutdown.

This is your first Lexus what? Year etc. are important, there are lots of Lexus iterations now so all we can do is guess what you got.
There is a trunk lid wire issue that could be the cause of your problems on the older LS400's.

it is a 99 ls400. not sure where the trunk lid wire is.

The battery is. just finished checking my connections and come to find out my positive terminal was a little loose and dirty. lawls idk if that could have caused it, im thinking it did. ill take it for a little spin and see if it will happen again.

Hopefully it's a loose connection, otherwise it's one weird *** problem.

Thinking about this mine shut off once under moderate braking. The battery terminal had lots of corrosion so after cleaning that up, it has been good.
