Hello fellas, Lately I noticed that when I turn the fan just to get fresh air (AC compressor not engaged), air comes in very cold indicating me that AC is ON and much colder than what ambient temp is outside.

Any thoughts?

When you activate the fan only. Does the AC green light come on too?

 

By default each time you press fan off, then auto, the AC is toggled to a ready state and depending on the cabin and ambient temps the AC may be called upon and turned on.

It isn't until manual adjustments are made that take it out of auto mode whereby things like turning off the AC by pressing the AC icon that it stays locked out. Pressing Auto at any time lets it do its own thing again.
