Default Having odd electrical issue.

I'm having an odd electrical issue. In the mornings sometimes when I go to turn over the key I just hear the click of the starter motor then nothing all my electrics go out. But I disconnect and reconnect the battery and everything starts up fine.

But then the big problem surfaces when I'm driving and I come to a stop at a stop light. When I press the breaks, my headlights dim, sometimes my radio flickers on and off, which also causes the head lights to dim even darker. But when I press the pedal to start moving again it all goes back to normal.

Im sorry for the long story. I'm new to this forum. Has anyone else had this type of problem??

Bad electrical connection at either the battery, or fuse panel. Get a meter and start measuring voltage with the headlights on, starting at the battery posts, and working toward the main fuse block near the firewall, leaving the negative lead on the (-) battery post. Wiggle and twist cables as you go, and look for voltage fluctuations. Best to do this with the engine off, so the alternator is out of the loop of variables.

Sounds like a battery or alternator issue. First make sure the battery terminals are on there tight. Loose connections can cause all sorts of electrical problems.

Incidentally are you in use of an after-market battery cable?
If so, I recommend you to use a better one to avoid the galvanic corrosion. The genuine cable is mostly safe for it.
