95 LS400 w/81k orig miles
purchased from the original owner for my mother.....but she just got a company car and doesnt need it so im begrudgingly contemplated selling it.
i took it to Lexus dealership and he ran me an 8page service history since mile O......every single oil change and service done at Lexus!!!! ( the owners son told me his 83 year old dad lived 2 blocks from Lexus dealership and only took it there its whole 81k mile life.
Am i crazy to sell this????

you are not crazy if someone offers you a great price for it. definitely sounds like a gem you have but it all depends on your need for the car, garage space, time to maintain it, etc. the timing belt is due at 90k which will set you back around ~$1k at the dealership (or you can do it yourself with the help from info here and save).
the car will outlast many cars half its age. just keep driving it and you will fall in love.

Here in Norcal KBB shows $3600, you can probably fetch $2K on top of this at your condition, for a total of around $5600? Autotrader is listing a 97' LS400 with only 68K miles for $8500!

For guys in the know... like us.. many of us prefer the 98-2000 model as it has the latest and greatest upgrades and features and are a little more bullet proof. I'd say a pristine one with low miles might fetch between $5k and $6k, but that is on the upper end and may take some time to sell it. I am currently looking for the latest model LS400 and don't want to pay much over $5k with about 100k miles on it.
