Default 98 LS400 electrical problem

Hi all I don,t know if you can help my 98 ls 400 has no electrical functions from the drivers side front door and the Pwr ect switch is only working in snow mode and normal, the switch appears to be working correctly but no light and no difference in gear change speed ?

as with all electrical problems, always check your fuses. then check if your battery terminals are on tight. then work your way in. the PWR ECT switch changes shift points but is more apparent when you stomp on the throttle, as it holds the gear longer. remember the car learns your driving habits so if you just putt around town most of the time it will drive that way.
